Not every moment, not every photo, and not every blog-post from my trip to South Korea is one of fast paced, high octane adventure. In fact, a lot of the moments in between (that don't make it into a chapter) are pivotal to understanding what living in such a charming country is really like. Experiencing a Korean grocery store, walking around one of the huge malls here, or even going to see a movie are all fun parts of my trip that I was unable to talk about in previous posts.
When I first arrived in South Korea, I was expecting culture shock, that fish out of water moment, or that mind-bending epiphany that astronauts get when they look down the earth and see it as never before. For the most part, yeah, I have experienced all of those things. What I wasn't expecting however, was the realization that a lot of the day in day out workings of korea are similar to what I'm accustomed to. The same... but different. As if somewhere in the timeline of our past, we decided to do something slightly different, and the result carried through to a parallel future. To0 abstract? Alright then, back to the pictures.
It seems they print packaging in multiple languages, something I was not expecting
Now this really threw me for a loop. I guess calling it a ring makes it more clear to consumers
Nothing small about this mall! I imagine Camille could spend the rest of her life looking at all the shoes on sale here, speaking of which...
Mr. Lee bought me some new shoes!
I really tried to talk him down, but he was very persistent (no wonder he's a businessman). All the same, I made out with some cool shoes

To finish out the minutiae, Jo Jo gets her hair cut! You can't improve perfection, but you also can't beat a day at the spa... well at least they had coffee for me while I waited.
Beautiful!
